Our Spiritual Home

For parents who have children in the home, children are their first mission work (Matt. 28:18-20). WRCOC is interested in equipping parents to lead in the home and instill faith in their children (Eph. 4:11-12). The spiritual home is the place where parents and children come up underneath the word of God and glean important truths from heaven (Matt. 4:4, Eph. 6:4, 2 Tim. 3:16-17). In these moments, parents read, explain, and help children apply the word of God, marveling at God’s transformative power (Rom. 1:16, 12:1-2). In song, they worship by singing hymns (Eph. 5:19). In prayer, they praise God and cast concerns of their hearts up to heaven, drawing ever closer to God (Matt. 6:25, 1 Pet. 5:7). Here, we offer resources to equip parents to faithfully lead in their spiritual homes.

Biblical Beckoning

To beckon someone is to wave them over, to invite them to come near and follow. Paul told Timothy to “follow the pattern of sound words” that he heard from him (2 Tim. 1:13). This pattern is a specific revealed plan from God, revealed in the way, the truth, and life that are embodied in Jesus Christ (1 Tim. 1:16, John 14:6).
